I would not be surprised to see Crunchyroll launch in Japan over the next 12-16 months. There’s no way they’d go for Korea and Taiwan, and not have Japan in their sights.
Yeah. I think I over stretched a bit. There’s a lot of local competition and much of it owned by the same telcos who attack the committees that Crunchyroll sits on.

I didn't think Crunchyroll would have been aiming to launch in Japan since I assumed similar local streaming platforms already existed there.
