Fantastic breakdown of the Warner Bros situation. The Netflix acquisition would basically centralize a massive chunk of anime IP under one roof, which could streamline licensing but also raises conerns about market concentration. The irony of U-NEXT's CEO warning about monopoly power while Netflix vacuuming up WB's 90+ anime titles is pretty stark. I dunno if Entertainment Strategy Guy's prediction about reduced output holds tho, since owning the IP changes cost dynamics significantly.
